Society Info

Mission Statement:
The Warrensburgh Historical Society's mission is to find the rich stories and artifacts of our past, and preserve them for future generations.

About Warrensburg

A quiet, scenic town in the southern Adirondack Mountains between the Schroon and Hudson rivers.  Once a busy water-powered industrial center, it remains a vibrant part of Warren County. Early settlers in the 1780s were pioneers in this  “dark and dangerous place.” Fortunes were made in lumber and tanning and eventually the garment industries. Now serving full time residents and visitors,  all lovers of  the outdoors and things “Adirondacks,” Warrensburg has much to offer.

Reviews

"I loved the guide"  So much history we never knew!
After moving in to the area, my wife and I wanted to learn more about the location so we stopped in to this museum and was immediately impressed with the depth of knowledge and artifacts displayed throughout the museum. We plan on visiting more often to spend more time on each exhibit. The museum volunteers are wonderfully nice and were happy to share their knowledge with us. If you're in the area, this museum is worth a visit!    YELP     TRIP ADVISOR
