Our Beginnings

Learn More
The Warrensburgh Historical Society was founded in 1973 as part of the Warren County Bicentennial celebration. Its mission is to collect, preserve, and interpret the unique history of Warrensburgh and the surrounding area, and to share that history with future generations.
We maintain an extensive archive of photographs, documents, artifacts, and oral histories, and we offer public programs, walking tours, and seasonal exhibits to bring our town’s rich past to life. From lumbering and agriculture to industry and everyday life, our work helps tell the stories of the people who shaped this place.

Who We Are

The Society is incorporated under the Laws of the State of New York. It holds a permanent charter, granted by the Board of Regents, Education Department of the State of New York, granted on October 28, 1977.  Registered with the Internal Revenue Service as both a 501 (c)(3) and 509 (a)(2) organization, donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
