WCS alumni to display art at Richards Library

WARRENSBURG - The artwork of dozens of former local students is to be on display through February at the first-ever Warrensburg High School Alumni Art Show. The exhibit is to be hosted at the Richards Library, and an opening public reception for the artists is to be held from 5 p.m.

Tradition to reign at Christmas in Warrensburgh this weekend

WARRENSBURG - The holiday spirit of generations ago will prevail this weekend in Warrensburg as dozens of activities of the annual Christmas in Warrensburgh festival are held. Scheduled for Friday Dec. 2 through Sunday Dec. 4, the event harkens back to rural holiday traditions, featuring an array of activities through town.

WARRENSBURG - After feeding his reindeer and hearing dozens of Christmas wishes from area children, Santa took a short break from his duties at the Christmas in Warrensburgh celebration that attracted hundreds to its various activities.

WARRENSBURG - Wrapping up sausages behind the counter at Oscar's Smokehouse for one of hundreds of customers purchasing meats and other products, Dave Decker paused and gestured towards his sons Christopher, 30, and Daniel, 17 who were also at work in the renowned local enterprise.

Construction underway on new Wbg. firehouse garage

WARRENSBURG - Initial work has begun on constructing a new firehouse garage for the Warrensburg Fire District. Pouring concrete for the foundation of the garage, located just south of the existing firehouse, began last week. Materials for the metal building are expected to be delivered to the site in about a week.

Adirondack Community Outreach Center hosts golf fundraiser

WARRENSBURG - The day was a beautiful and stunning time to be out at Cronin's Golf Resort in Warrensburg when the Adirondack Community Outreach Center (ACOC) held its 11th Annual Adirondack Golf Open Aug. 28.

Bark Avenue Dog Grooming and Boutique set to open this month

WARRENSBURG - The Lotus Group of companies is set to unveil its latest Warrensburg business pending continued renovations and a zoning board decision set for Tuesday, Oct. 6. The business, Bark Avenue Dog Grooming and Boutique, is scheduled to open at its new River Street location in mid-October.

Suzanne Tyler tapped as Warrensburg Chamber COO

WARRENSBURG - A new person is now heading up day-to-day efforts of promoting Warrensburg. Suzanne Tyler of Warrensburg recently took on the post of Office Administrator for the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce. She has replaced Michael Wescott, who left the post to become Business Development Specialist for the Lotus Group of Companies, based in Warrensburg.

'Soup r Bands' to rock the ranch this Saturday

LAKE GEORGE - No less than 10 bands will be performing onstage this weekend for one of the region's leading annual charitable fundraisers - Soup 'r Bands. This ever-popular party to benefit local autism awareness is to be held from 6 p.m. until about midnight Saturday Oct. 22 at Roaring Brook Ranch Resort.

Warrensburg's Citizen of Year, Business of 2016 announced

WARRENSBURG - The Warrensburg Chamber has named two local residents and one business to be honored in their annual recognition program. Bridgette Connelly-Howe and Peggy Knowles have both been named the Chamber's "Citizen of the Year" and Cronin's Golf Resort has been named "Business of the Year."
